I am blessed every day as a Counselor at Anoka-Ramsey. I most enjoy being a listening ear and connecting with students to provide support and encouragement in their life challenges and inspire them to find and follow their purpose in life.

I love being a counselor at Anoka-Ramsey because it gives me an opportunity to be a part of students’ journeys in success. I am passionate about helping students get energized and become aware of their inner strengths. I am a life-long learner and am always being taught life-lessons by the students I am blessed to work with.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work as a Counselor at ARCC. As a first-generation college student who struggled with navigating the college experience I am passionate about helping students find their way in such an exciting and challenging time in their lives.

What is so exciting about being a counselor is the different people I encounter and learn from every day. Everyone comes with different life experiences and when a student takes the step to reach out for assistance I am so appreciative to have the privilege of working with them, learning from them and helping them accomplish their goals.

I love being a college counselor and I am so excited to be working with students at Anoka-Ramsey! One of the best parts of being a counselor is getting to know the student, their circumstance, and the opportunity to assist them in reaching their goals. I am so thankful that I get to be part of our student’s journey.

There are so many different paths students take to get to college and I love helping them navigate their journey once they take that step to come to Anoka-Ramsey. I have the privilege to offer support while they are here and also guidance toward empowering them as they move forward into their future.

  • The goal of the ARCC Counseling Take 5 series is to enhance personal growth and self-awareness through the development of practical skills. Take 5 includes events, workshops, newsletters and more.

  • Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional.

We are happy to provide brief free online screening for mental health and substance abuse issues. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources.

    Anoka-Ramsey Mental Health Screening Program

  • Sometimes students struggle to meet basic needs or experience mental health issues. These concerns are more common than you might realize. Anoka-Ramsey counselors are here to help you with support, resources and strategies for being okay. ARCC has compiled a list of Basic Needs Resources. The information is updated regularly. It contains a wide variety of resources from food insecurity help to mental health therapists, finances and much more.

You don't need to navigate this alone. Anoka-Ramsey Community College Counselors are available to meet with students who need assistance.
