Much Ado About Nothing returns for outdoor performances on May 18 and 19

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Theatre Department will present a Shakespearean farce outdoors on the Mississippi River, bringing Much Ado About Nothing, to the Coon Rapids Campus River Plaza for the first time ever, on May 18 and 19 at 8 pm. Due to the unique nature of an outdoor production, each performance is limited to 150 seats. This event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required.

In this Shakespearean play, Hero and her groom-to-be, Claudio, team up with Claudio’s commanding officer, Don Pedro, the week before their wedding to hatch a matchmaking scheme. Their targets are a sharp-witted duo named Benedick and Beatrice. This is a tough task, indeed, considering their corresponding distaste for love and each other. Meanwhile, meddling Don John plots to ruin the wedding, and the foolish constable Dogberry and his watchmen muddle the situation even more.
