Anoka-Ramsey Community College Nursing program honored by City of Cambridge

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is pleased to announce that the Cambridge City Council has proclaimed April 21 as an official day of celebration for the Nursing program.

At the Monday, April 2 City Council meeting, the Anoka-Ramsey Nursing program received the proclamation that Saturday, April 21 is officially a day of celebration for reaching 50 years of nursing education in the region and the state of Minnesota. To celebrate, Anoka-Ramsey will host a celebration at the Cambridge Campus for alumni, staff and faculty, April 21.

At the council meeting, Cambridge Mayor Marlys Palmer emphasized that “the demand for registered nursing services will be greater than ever because of the aging of the American population.”

Palmer noted that Anoka-Ramsey Community College was steadfast in its commitment to providing, not only quality education at an affordable price, but also quality nurses into a health care industry that faces growing demand for nursing support within hospitals, nursing homes, group homes and home care facilities.

“Our Nursing program benefits highly from the close, collaborative relationship with local health care providers”, said Sandra Kohler, Dean of Nursing. “We want to thank Mayor Palmer for her kind words and recognition. We appreciate her continued support.”
