Both campuses of Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Cambridge and Coon Rapids, are taking action to help increase voter registration and participation leading to the Nov. 6 election. Recently, student representatives participated in training and pitched proposals to receive funding to support their efforts. Anoka-Ramsey Community College Financial Aid office will offer Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) events in October to provide financial aid information and one-on-one support for the application process. The Coon Rapids Campus event is Thursday, Oct. 4 from 3 to 5 pm in the Riverview Room. The Cambridge Campus event is Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 2 to 4:30 pm at the Financial Aid Office. The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Campus Cupboard will open its doors Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Coon Rapids Campus to provide students access to non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. Sponsored by the Coon Rapids Campus Foundation, the Campus Cupboard will be open twice monthly. Students will be limited to 12 items of their choosing at no cost.
