Question
What is your approach to teaching?
Answer
Being able to take the time with learners and make it fun while also seeing them grow in their new learning. Being adaptable to what my learners need and seeing that in the moment has been something I have really enjoyed incorporating into my teaching. There are no two people who learn exactly the same. From here, I see learning as a two-way street. There is no way that I know everything, and being able to ensure learners feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their experiences, and also taking the time to look up the information from credible sources with me if we all are unaware of best practices.

Question
What inspires you as a teacher?
Answer
I have had a lot of people inspire me when it comes to learning and teaching. These people came from all aspects of my life from the Military to Hospital. I also love to read books, especially about self-help. Simon Sinek is one of my favorite authors; Leaders Eat Last, Know Your Why.

Question
How would you describe what happens during one of your most successful classes?
Answer
During my most successful classes students feel comfortable to ask the questions that they have. We learn from one another. Also, there is a safe space to learn and grow in the classroom I completely believe that you don't know what you don't know so asking questions makes you a safe and better nurse.

Question
What makes your curriculum interesting or valuable to students?
Answer
I am a fun and interesting instructor. I love to make an impact when I teach and not just read lectures and look at powerpoints. I include activities, worksheets, case studies.

Question
How do you think students describe your teaching methods and classes?
Answer
I hope that students see my teaching style as cooperative, inclusive, and fun. I do my best to teach to every learning style and help make the topics make sense. I like to think of myself as a guide. I am here to give you the puzzle and guide you in putting it together. Then if you can't put the puzzle together, I can help make the picture make sense.
