As much as lectures, readings, and demonstrations enhance student learning, practice by application is what I believe most engages the student.

What inspires you as a teacher?
Answer
My students inspire me. They give me energy, especially in the classroom. There is no better reward than to see a student's smile when they understand and are successful at a difficult concept.

What makes your curriculum interesting or valuable?
Answer
Fortunately my curriculum is relevant to students right now in their life. Excel and managerial communication are the top two skills employers are currently looking for.

What are some ways that you help your students succeed?
Answer
Personal meetings. I also provide many different learning avenues; visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.

How do you help your students get the most out of your classes?
Answer
They need to actively participate. In classes, I work the room to help that happen. Online, I contact them individually during the course of the semester.
