What to Know Before Attending Orientation & Registration Express

Here’s a quick summary of the important details you need to know:

  • Application: Be sure to apply to Anoka-Ramsey before attending Orientation & Registration Express. Only first-year (general) and transfer students are eligible to apply during Orientation & Registration Express. PSEO students cannot apply to Anoka-Ramsey during Orientation & Registration Express; they must already be accepted to Anoka-Ramsey (application deadline was July 1).
  • StarID: Make a note of your StarID and password, as you'll need them for Orientation & Registration Express.
  • Orientation Duration: Orientation & Registration Express might take several hours to complete, so plan your time accordingly.
  • Information Needed: Bring copies of your high school/GED transcripts, college transcripts/credits (if applicable), and a photo ID.
  • Course Availability: Since Fall 2025 classes start on Monday, August 25, course availability is limited. Be prepared to be flexible with your course selections and timings. Note that any missed class time might not be excused.
  • Tuition Payment: Arrange payment for tuition and fees by Tuesday, September 2, to avoid being dropped from your courses.
PSEO students do not need to make payment arrangements.
  • Add/Drop Deadline: The deadline to add or drop most courses is Friday, August 29. Removing courses from your schedule after this date will result in a withdraw (W) on your transcript and you’ll be financially responsible for the course(s).
  • Holds on Accounts: Ensure there are no holds on your account from other Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, as this could impact your ability to attend this semester.

Welcome to Anoka-Ramsey!
